Tom Emerson's lecture
Tom Emerson visits Budapest and on 19th October 2016. holds an open lecture in English and as guest of BME Doctoral School of Architecture, in the BME, building K, room 210.
Tom Emerson founded 6a architects with Stephanie Macdonald in London in 2001 after meeting at the Royal College of Art and has become one of the leading architectural practices in the UK. The practice has developed a particular reputation for award winning contemporary art galleries, educational buildings, residential projects and for working in sensitive historic environments. Current projects include a new building for Churchill College in Cambridge (competition win 2009), a photography studio for Juergen Teller, the expansion of MK Gallery in Milton Keynes, a private house and gallery in London, an apartment building and several gallery projects.
Since 2010 Tom Emerson has been Professor of Architecture and Construction at the ETH Zurich Faculty of Architecture. Before joining the eth, he taught in Cambridge (2004-10), the Architectural Association (2000-04) and in the Department of Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art.
